On Friday 19th November 2015, we held our second Takeover Day!
Sophie (Deputy Headteacher) was given a task by Mrs Porter (Chair of Governors) on Takeover Day. Mrs Porter emailed her and said:
I hear you are acting up as Deputy Head today - you must be very busy. Ms Caine is really good at keeping us supplied with statistics about the School. I am hoping you will be as good at this as her because I would be very interested to know how many pupils are involved in Takeover Day and what jobs they are doing. A pie-chart showing how many are doing teaching jobs, far-reaching jobs and out of classroom jobs would be very helpful, if you can manage it. It would also be interesting to know which jobs were the most popular for applications and why.
I hope you have a great day. Thanks, in advance, for you help with statistical information.
Mrs D. Porter
Chair of Governors
Sophie worked hard to find all the information she needed and then used Excel to input the data into a spread sheet, found out how to show this information in a pie-chart and then attached it as a document to send back to Mrs Porter.
Tuesday 3rd November
Today, all of the completed application forms have been taken away by Hays Recruitment Firm. They are going to shortlist for the positions of Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Class Teachers. Next week we will find out who had the most impressive application forms. The lucky few will then be interviewed before we discover who has been successful!
Friday 23rd October
Thank you for the all of the completed application forms. The dead line to hand in form is today. We had a record number of applications. Now the difficult job starts- reading through and selecting from the 153 forms!
