I live in Wortley and I have worked in Leeds for 40 years. Most recently, I was Head of Arts Development for ArtForms - the music and arts service for schools and families, Leeds City Council. In this role I worked to ensure that children in Leeds have access to arts and cultural opportunities in and outside of school. My work included:

Supporting schools to develop their Art, D&T, Dance and Drama curriculum offer;
Delivering subject leader and staff training in Art and D&T;
Working with schools to deliver their own arts projects, events or arts weeks;
Brokering partnerships between schools, artists and arts organisations;
Safeguarding and quality assurance;
Monitoring and evaluating programmes of work;
Fundraising.

Previous experience includes managing a community based youth arts organisation, and working in schools as a drama and theatre practitioner.
