I moved to Farnley in 2014 when my husband and I moved in together. 2021 I became widowed and now raise my son alone.

Working full time in building management I started as a coordinator in 2012 looking after one site, now I work with Mitie FM on the Network Rail Account managing 26 offices (Doncaster, York, Darlington, Gateshead, and Newcastle) having both working maintenance depots and corporate buildings. Daily I manage service providers, contractors and building users, external and internal clients. My team is made up of 10 direct reports, ensuring they have all they need to carry out their roles and are supported as much as they need.

My strengths are Health & Safety, passing NEBOSH in 2022 and IOSH Working Safely in 2018, people management and HR. 

I wanted to become a Parent Governor to give back to the pupils of school and volunteer my hours allocated from work to support where needed for half a day a month. Ensuring pupils and the teachers have a voice from a parent's perspective when needed.
